From the traditional roots in Agriculture, Cheloor evolved to a changing focus into commerce by diversifying the fields of business. Shri Ravi Cheloor activated this change when he found Ramdas Movie House, one of the Thrissur's best-known film houses. The family built the Devaki Cinemas at Guruvayur, and diversified into film distribution and property development.
